Jennifer Evans, Director of Visitor Services
Do you know where your prom date is? Jennifer Does!
Jennifer Evans, director of visitor services for Visit Winston-Salem, is known for getting things done quickly when it comes to servicing meeting attendees. She and her staff are on the ball coordinating convention and sporting events. On the other hand, it took Jennifer 25 years to find out that her high school prom date was the man she should marry.
Yes, it is true big things can happen at the prom. At the East Forsyth High School prom of 1984 a romance would be sparked, but it took Jennifer 25 years to decide that her prom date was the man for her. Now, her prom dress still fits and her date Steven is now her husband. Of course, they both stayed busy for the last 25 years, each with families and careers. Jennifer has been with Visit Winston-Salem for 11 years, and prior to that she was with Wachovia Bank. A mother of two, both attending UNC Charlotte, Jennifer was recently initiated into the Triad Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, a service organization.
In addition to her love for Steven, Jennifer is passionate about her community. She and her team work with meeting planners on everything from requests for transportation to finding a parliamentarian. Along with Kay Calzolari and Sylvia Hutchens, the services team is all about getting things done for meeting and event planners. Don’t wait 25 years to plan a meeting in the Winston-Salem area!
