The Nutcracker: December 12-21

For nearly 50 years the immensely popular Tchaikovsky Nutcracker ballet music has been performed by the UNC School of the Arts Nutcracker Orchestra in downtown Winston-Salem.  2014 will mark the third year of production under the leadership of Susan Jaffe, the new dean of the UNCSA School of Dance.  Jaffe is widely regarded as one of the priemere ballerinas in America. Dixie Classic Fair - October 3-12, 2014

Celebrating 132years, the Dixie Classic Fair is the second largest agricultural fair in North Carolina, averages 325,000 visitors each year. The 10-day annual fair features a world-class carnival with numerous rides and games, nationally known musical entertainment, delicious food and beverage, and exhibits of livestock, poultry, fine arts and crafts.
