Drums from Africa are so iconic that they are often used to represent musical traditions from across the continent. However, Africa is home to many fascinating instruments beyond drums. This exhibit presents a range of percussion and non-percussion instruments that showcase the diversity of African music. The exhibit highlights how the objects have been played, collected, and studied. Videos of musical performances are also featured. Admission is free.
