Bookmarks will host its second annual Books, Barbecue & Bingo fundraising event on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Kaplan Innovation and Education Center. The event marks the start of the Festival of Books & Authors season, the largest annual book festival in the Carolinas.

Guests will spend the evening celebrating community, connection and a shared love of reading, with barbecue from Honky Tonk Smokehouse, rounds of bingo and a lineup of surprises from this year's Festival.

All ticket packages include a barbecue dinner, one complimentary drink ticket and one bingo card pack. Individual tickets start at $75, with table and VIP packages available for those looking for an evening with friends. Proceeds from Books, Barbecue & Bingo fuel Bookmarks' year round literacy programs, free to schools and families throughout Forsyth County, bringing celebrated authors into local classrooms and supporting more than 150 author events each year.
