Ready to become a pollinator detective? Help us discover more about our buzzing buddies by joining the Great Southeast Pollinator Census (GSEPC)! The GSEPC is a multi-state citizen science project where YOU can help us capture a snapshot of pollinator activity in communities across North Carolina and other southeastern states.You don't need to be an expert in insect identification! Anyone of any age can participate!Our guides will introduce you to the categories of busy bees, butterflies, and other pollinators that will be tallied. We'll help you pick the perfect pollinator-friendly plant for your count and give you all the tips you need to make the most of your 15-minute observation mission. Set your timer, and get ready to count and identify the insects that land on your flowers.Once your count is done, submit your results to the Census site and be part of a fun, multi-state effort to learn more about pollinators in North Carolina and other Southern states.Learn more about this incredible citizen science project at go.ncsu.edu/gsepcinncDrop by for any half-hour between 10 AM - 12 PM. Bring a pencil, a water bottle, sun protection, and a timer, such as a phone. Meet at the tent located in the grassy area near the small gate entrance to the Arboretum.N.C.
