About

The Winston-Salem Community Band, conducted by James Dougherty, presents their second summer concert on Sunday, August 24, at 6:30 PM at Miller Park Amphitheater, 2620 Queen Street in Winston-Salem. Sit under the impressive shade trees of Miller Park and enjoy the sounds of:

The Calliope Rag (Scott; arr. Lovrien)
Children's March, "Over the Hills and Far Away" (Grainger; arr. Wagner)
Concert Rondo (Mozart; arr. Clark)
Gershwin! (arr. Barker)
Remembrance (Zaninelli)
Shenandoah (Ticheli)
A Sacred Suite (Karrick)
Variants (Bullock)

Bring your family, pack a picnic, and join us! Our concerts are always FREE and open to everyone! Bench seating exists in the amphitheatre, however for comfort you might consider bringing a cushion or your own foldout chair.

In case of bad weather - rain or temperatures exceeding 90° - the concert will move indoors to Ardmore Baptist Church's Brown Auditorium at Irving St. & W. Academy St. Any venue change will be posted at winstonsalemband.org no later than two hours before concert time.
