About
Market hunter, wilderness scout, frontier guide, elected leader, and neighbor to the Wachovia Moravians—Daniel Boone’s life reads like an adventure novel. Winston-Salem author Randell Jones brings Boone’s extraordinary story to life, examining his impact as one of America’s most legendary pioneers during the American Revolution.
Join us on Saturday April 11, 2026 at 11am in the Gray Auditorium for a riveting presentation on the life and times of Daniel Boone followed by a Q&A, book signing, and optional walking tour with author Randell Jones. Mr. Jones will have copies of his book available for purchase following the talk and will generously donate $10 from each book sold to support Old Salem Museums & Gardens.
So join us to celebrate the 250 years work of American stories that shape who we are today and learn more about your local history. Celebrate America 250 all year long here at Old Salem Museums & Gardens.
