Join our museum guides for an exploration into the work of cabinetmaker and furniture craftsman John Shearer. Known for his quirky design elements, this Scottish-born craftsman has become notable for his many unique pieces–many of which are right here at the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts! These featured inscriptions in support of the English Crown, personalized elements for the purchaser, and even records of his own life.
