Salem Academy and College will host a special event in collaboration with the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum. The panel discussion, titled “Women’s History is American History,” will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Shirley Recital Hall in the Elberson Fine Arts Center at Salem Academy and College.
The discussion will delve into the essential role women have played in shaping American history, highlighting stories that are often untold or overlooked.
The panel will feature distinguished speakers including Summer Hamilton, Digital Community Partnerships Specialist at the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum; Gwynne Taylor, Past Chair of the Board of Trustees at Salem College; Katherine Knapp Watts, the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Salem Academy and College; and Virginia Hart, Tri-Chair of Salem Academy and College’s “Be Remarkable” Campaign.
