About

If you remember 1976 as a fun time to celebrate America, then don’t miss this Salem Band tribute concert when we will relive the best of popular music from that Bicentennial year! And even if you don’t remember, come to the concert to experience some of the most unique of musical genres, including disco, jazz, musical theater, cinema, and rock ‘n roll: A Fifth of Beethoven, Saturday Night Fever, Nadia’s Theme, songs from Evita and A Chorus Line, ABBA and Elton John, and Rock classics. Our soloists are Sara Emery, SB Principal Saxophonist playing “Evergreen;” and SB Trumpeter Emma Alex Conrad, playing the flugel horn solo on “Feels So Good.” Dress in your fav disco digs and be ready to dance! Sunday, October 04, 2026, 3:00 pm in Hanes Auditorium – a free concert and accessible venue.
Established in 1771, Salem Band is the oldest, continuous mixed wind ensemble in the nation. Eileen Young, Music Director.
