Sound System Sunday is an event for those who's bedtime usually falls before the start of most late night shows or for those who can't get enough music from Friday and Saturday nights. This show will be geared toward highlighting local and regional DJs and producers on the brand new Shaolin Sound System.

The Shaolin Sound System is a custom built, high fidelity sound system, jointly owned by The Undrgrnd and Subsentia. This event serves as a milestone and celebration for sound system culture and the underground electronic music scene in the Triad.

For this event, we welcome two pioneers of NC sound system culture - Tunic, owner of the Hi-Vi Sound System and Graphyte, owner of the Black Cat Sound System. Both of these legendary DJs have brought their custom systems to Winston for some of Subsentia's previous events as well as supplied sound to multiple events for The Undrgrnd. It is truly a full circle moment for sound system culture in the 336 that they help christen the Shaolin Sound System. Rest assured they will come well equipped to test the capabilities of the new system.

Placeholder (aka Nick Blanchard) - the brains and hands behind the build of the Shaolin Sound System.- will also be joining the system's maiden voyage.
