Clark’s Barbecue: A Taste of Tradition


Founded in 1993, Clark’s Barbecue brings the unmistakable flavor of Lexington pit-style barbecue to Kernersville, North Carolina. The Gentry family, natives of Davidson County—the birthplace of this wood-fired tradition—set out to recreate the authentic barbecue joints they grew up with.


Today, second-generation pitmaster Randy Gentry continues the legacy, proudly serving classics like the Coarse Chopped Barbecue, known for its perfect balance of smoke, spice, and salt. The name “Clark,” shared as a middle name by Randy’s father and brother, honors the family roots behind every plate.
