Hours of Operation
As of January 1, 2026, Lazy Elm Vineyard and Winery is open the second full weekend of each month. Visitors are encouraged to check the Contact page for specific dates.
Lazy Elm Vineyard and Winery is situated on a serene 43-acre farm in Mocksville, North Carolina, within the Yadkin Valley AVA (American Viticultural Area). Conveniently located just three miles north of Interstate 40 and one mile east of Highway 601, the property offers both accessibility and a peaceful, rural setting.
The vineyard spans approximately 5.5 acres and was established in 2012, featuring five varieties of Vitis vinifera (European-style wine grapes). Red varietals include Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, Mourvèdre, and Malbec, while Vermentino represents the winery’s white grape offering.
Known for its tranquil atmosphere, Lazy Elm invites guests to relax under its namesake elm tree, where shaded seating and gentle breezes provide a comfortable setting even during the warmest months. Visitors can enjoy a glass or bottle of wine while taking in the quiet beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Lazy Elm Vineyard and Winery offers a laid-back, intimate wine experience that highlights both the character of the land and the craftsmanship of its wines.
