MenaRick Vineyard and Winery is a family-owned vineyard and winery located on a 40-acre estate in the foothills of North Carolina’s Yadkin Valley. Founded by Mena and Rick, the winery reflects a blend of global winemaking traditions—Mena grew up on her family’s vineyard in Portugal, while Rick began his journey in California’s wine industry.


Established in 2006 with the purchase of the property in Ronda, the vineyard planted its first 3.5 acres of vines in 2008 while simultaneously planning and constructing the winery and tasting room. Rick’s background in construction was instrumental in building the facility, which now houses both production and guest experiences.


MenaRick is a distinctive Yadkin Valley winery specializing in Spanish and Portuguese varietals. Their wines are unfiltered, a deliberate approach that preserves the authenticity of each wine’s aroma and flavor. The vineyard currently includes 8 acres of planted vines, featuring Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, Albariño, Grenache, Tempranillo, and Touriga Nacional.


Guests are invited to relax and take in scenic vineyard views while enjoying a glass or bottle of wine. The property also serves as a venue for intimate weddings, family gatherings, and corporate events. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and experience the welcoming, multicultural spirit that defines MenaRick.
