About

In December 2023, we proudly ushered in a new era with the acquisition of this stunning estate from RayLen Vineyards—marking an exciting new chapter for Rayson Winery and Vineyards.

Founded by JW and Kristen Ray, whose winemaking roots began at JOLO Winery & Vineyards, Rayson Winery is nestled in the heart of North Carolina’s largest AVA, the Yadkin Valley. The name “Rayson” is a heartfelt tribute to their two sons, Joey and Logan, who play an integral role in the family business—bringing warmth, passion, and authenticity to every step of the journey from vine to vintage.

Set across 35 acres of vineyard, Rayson showcases a diverse and thoughtfully curated selection of varietals, including Riesling, Viognier, Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Rkatsiteli, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Tannat, Albariño, Rubired, and Pinot Blanc—each reflecting the unique terroir of the region.

Guests are invited to experience Rayson through reservation-only tastings and dining. Our elevated wine tastings ($30 per person) feature seven pre-selected wines, offering a balanced journey through whites, rosé, and reds in our chic, upscale tasting room.

For a truly memorable culinary experience, dine at our award-winning Bistro Europa, where our chef crafts seasonal dishes inspired by fresh, local ingredients. Enjoy al fresco dining on the covered patio with sweeping vineyard views, or retreat indoors to a warm, elegant dining space. During cooler months, the outdoor veranda transforms into a cozy haven with heaters and a glowing fireplace.

For those seeking something extraordinary, our exclusive Grand Cru experience in the Pearl D’ Blanc Private Dining Room offers an intimate, chef-curated journey for up to six guests—perfect for special occasions or unforgettable evenings.

At Rayson Winery and Vineyards, every detail—from the vines to the table—is designed to create a refined yet welcoming experience rooted in family, craftsmanship, and a deep love of wine.
