A 1,000-capacity concert hall, The Ramkat is downtown’s leading live music venue—known for excellent acoustics, great sightlines, and a genre-spanning concert calendar. Its upstairs sister space, Gas Hill, offers a second stage for intimate 100-person shows and late-night sets.

From nationally recognized acts like Mavis Staples and Everclear to rising artists and local favorites, The Ramkat continues to shape Winston-Salem’s modern music scene. And in the coming months, the lineup delivers something for every kind of listener, from folk and indie rock to bluegrass, R&B, tribute shows, and more. Below is a look at what’s on tap from late fall 2025 through spring 2026.

November 14

The Wallflowers

Wallflowers

Date: Friday, Nov. 14 | Doors 7 PM · Show 8 PM

Fronted by Jakob Dylan, son of music icon Bob Dylan, The Wallflowers rose to fame in the 1990s with their Grammy-winning blend of roots rock and heartland storytelling. Known for hits like “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache,” and “Three Marlenas,” the band continues to deliver timeless anthems with poetic flair. Opening the show is Jeff Slate, a New York–based songwriter and music journalist.

Nightrain: The Guns N’ Roses Experience

A high-energy tribute to the original GnR madness, Nightrain: The Guns N’ Roses Experience recreates the spectacle, swagger, and sonic precision of Guns N’ Roses’ heyday. From Axl-style vocals and Slash-esque solos to full-throttle hits, the band delivers classics from Appetite for Destruction and beyond, hitting all the fan favorites.

Gaelic Storm

A high-energy Celtic rock ensemble rooted in Southern California, Gaelic Storm fuses Irish and Scottish traditional music with modern influences. Since forming in 1996, they’ve played over 2,000 shows, appeared in Titanic as the steerage band, and repeatedly topped the Billboard World charts.

His & Hers w/ John Howie Jr. 

His & Hers

Playing inside The Gas Hill Drinking Room, His & Hers bring their signature folk-Americana sound laced with bluegrass spirit. Fronted by husband-and-wife duo Caleb and Sara Davis, the North Carolina-based band pairs soulful harmonies with acoustic guitar and mandolin. Their heartfelt originals and time-honored covers shine across four albums, including Come On In (2022) and Live at The Primavera Roadhouse, Vol. 1 (2024). Opening the show is North Carolina honky-tonk legends John Howie Jr. & The Rosewood Bluff.

Camel City Yacht Club

A popular party band made up of local all-star musicians, Camel City Yacht Club thrives on smooth grooves, crowd favorites, and pure audience energy. Since forming near Winston-Salem, they’ve become a Triad favorite—especially on Black Friday—delivering upbeat yacht-rock classics from the ’70s and ’80s with polished harmonies and a spirited vibe.

Mitch Easter & The Gang play Let’s Active

Mitch Easter & The Gang play Let’s Active

Celebrating the newly remastered release of their classic I.R.S. Records catalog, Mitch Easter & The Gang revisit the shimmering, guitar-driven sound that helped define Southern jangle pop. A Winston-Salem native, Easter gained national acclaim as frontman of Let’s Active and producer of R.E.M.’s earliest albums. Harvey Street w/ The Gringos

An indie/alt-rock outfit from Raleigh, Harvey Street blends atmospheric melodies and driving rhythms with Southern-inflected songwriting. They cut their teeth in local bars and college venues before releasing fan favorites like “Irish Goodbye” and “Betty,” now taking their sound to larger stages across the Southeast. Opening the show is The Gringos, an indie band from Athens, Georgia, that blend rock, funk, and jazz, crafting a distinctly modern groove.

Time Sawyer

Carolina-born folk rock band Time Sawyer brings an easygoing blend of Americana, warm harmonies, and heartfelt storytelling to The Gas Hill Drinking Room. Known for reflective lyrics and roots-driven melodies that nod to folk, rock, and country traditions, the group delivers a feel-good live show that’s equal parts intimate, soulful, and foot-stomping.

Now in its 12th year, FemFest returns to The Ramkat for an electrifying night celebrating women in music—all for a good cause. Headlining is The Finks, beloved local legends reuniting for the first time in years with their signature blend of punk energy and raw emotion. Also performing: Pie Face Girls (feminist punk favorites), The Gramps (gritty indie rockers), Burlap Circus (genre-bending newcomers), and YAWNi (dreamy alt-pop edge). Proceeds benefit Family Services of Winston-Salem.

Hailing from the local hardcore scene, I, Anomaly return with a ferocious live set rooted in early-2000s intensity, rapid riffs, and uncompromising energy that earned them a loyal regional following. Opening the night is Backteeth, a high-voltage guest band delivering potent hardcore punch and keeping the adrenaline high from first chord to last.

High School Reunion's Christmas Vacation

Get ready to rock around the Christmas tree as High School Reunion returns to The Ramkat for Christmas Vacation—a two-set holiday concert and ugly sweater party. The regional favorite known for its high-energy ’90s and 2000s throwbacks delivers festive fun, sing-along anthems, and plenty of nostalgic cheer. Proceeds from ticket sales support Samaritan Ministries’ Penny Campaign.

Cosmic Charlie (two-night show)

Grateful Dead tribute band Cosmic Charlie returns to The Ramkat for back-to-back nights of music, with tickets granting access to both shows. On Saturday, Dec. 27, they present Dark Side of the Dead, a special hybrid performance featuring a full live recreation of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, sandwiched between two sets of high-energy Grateful Dead favorites. On Sunday, Dec. 28, is 'JERRY-OKE' with Cosmic Charlie, a full evening of Dead classics with a fun twist. The evening kicks off with a fan-powered JERRY-OKE, where select fans get the chance to sing onstage with the band. Interested vocalists can sign up through the Facebook event.

The Rush Experience pays faithful tribute to one of rock’s most iconic trios, channeling the signature precision and power of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart. Shadowgrass

Emerging from the Blue Ridge region of Virginia and North Carolina, Shadowgrass has earned acclaim for its modern, high-energy take on bluegrass that appeal to both purists and new-grass fans alike. The concert opens DocStock IV, a three-night celebration honoring legendary NC guitarist and seven-time Grammy winner Doc Watson. Additional DocStock artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Shelby Means

Born in Kentucky and raised in Wyoming, Shelby Means has become one of the standout bassists and vocalists in modern bluegrass. A former member of the GRAMMY-nominated all-women band Della Mae, she has toured the world and built a reputation for driving rhythm, warm vocals, and a stage presence rooted in tradition and soul. Now based in Charleston, she brings a mix of bluegrass, folk, and Americana to this intimate Gas Hill performance.
