About

Come celebrate our community's rich heritage! Hear captivating stories from elders, activists, and neighbors as they share personal and historical experiences that shaped our area. Bring your children to connect with the past through interactive storytelling and engaging displays - a powerful way to honor history.

This month we'll be joined by Linda Dark, an author who recently published a book about her grandfather, W. S. Scales. William Samuel Scales: African American Businessman in a Segregated Town tells the story of a pioneering local businessman who, despite having no formal education, had a passion for business and a desire to improve his 20th century segregated community.
