Starring Carol Griffin as Daisy Werthan, Ralph Shaw as Hoke Coleburn, and Joseph Farmer as Boolie Werthan.

Having recently demolished another car, rich and sharp-tongued Jewish widow Daisy Werthan is informed by her son that she must now rely on the services of a chauffeur. The person he hires for the thankless job is a thoughtful, unemployed black man, whom Miss Daisy immediately regards with disdain -- and who, in turn, is not impressed with her patronizing tone and latent prejudice. Despite their mutual differences, the two grow ever closer. Soon, they come to realize they have more in common than they ever believed possible.

"Driving Miss Daisy" is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. www.dramatists.com

Stained Glass Playhouse is located at 4401 Indiana Avenue in Winston-Salem, NC, in the former sanctuary of Marvin United Methodist Church.
