Growing up and making a life in Nelson County, Virginia, Kai has carved out a career writing about the people and landscapes around him. His first show was in middle school and there were polyester shirts, strobe lights, and dancing. He's been playing music since.
When not fronting the rock act Lord Nelson, Kai has supported artists such as BJ Barham (American Aquarium), Joe Pug, Chuck Regan, Andrew Combs, Erin Rea and many others. Pushing into the waters of a solo record and career has slowed like much of this past year, but with a full album in the can, more songs on the way, and light creeping around the edges, the luxury of music and hope is hard to ignore.
Born in Guam and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, Rebecca Porter blends soulful melodies and fearless lyrics with her honey-smooth voice to create her own brand of Appalachian honky tonk. Her 2023 EP, Queen of the Local, earned national acclaim and led to recognition in Rissi Palmer's Color Me Country Class of 2024, features on Ed Helms' Good Country, and a debut on NPR's Mountain Stage. Known for electrifying live performances, Porter captivates audiences with her emotional intensity and grit. Porter's personal and raw storytelling continues to push boundaries, projecting a cinematic soundscape that balances traditional country’s rugged spirit with an unapologetic journey of perseverance.
A native of Clinton, NJ now making his home in Winston-Salem, NC, Gregg has recorded 4 albums of original music and is a two time ASCAP award winner for the folk genre. He’s had the opportunity to open for folk\/rock stars Pete Seeger, James Taylor, America & Poco. He has also had the honor of playing on The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts‘ Millenium Stage.
In May of 2025 Cagno released the single ‘In Space‘. Co-written with David Wilcox, it’s a song that ponders the human race’s ongoing quest for extraterrestrial intelligence and the implications of the lack of contact we’ve encountered… Perhaps the silence from beyond isn’t empty space, but a conscious turning away. A cosmic shrug at the spectacle of our discord. They watch us wound each other and choose a different path. Leaving our lonely signals unanswered…
