About
Do you enjoy shopping local art while listening to live music? Then join Artfolios for “Kindred Spirits,” a one-night show, with abstract artist Amy A. Bronson and pastel artist Laurie Basham. Guitarist Greg Waddell, former owner of Cycle Your City Bike Shop, will perform throughout the night. The event takes place on Friday, October 17 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at the Gallery at Stimmel—located 601 N. Trade Street in the heart of Winston-Salem’s Arts District and directly behind Piedmont Craftsmen. This event is free and open to the public.
Amy A. Bronson is a self-taught abstract artist. First, she builds numerous layers of texture and color upon the surface. Then, she reveals unique and unplanned surprises through deconstruction. Her art speaks to the idea that it is the human capacity to be uniquely creative.
Laurie Basham is an award-winning pastel artist. She loves spending time plein-air painting and working in her studio to capture a still life of freshly cut flowers. Her paintings showcase the beauty of color as it is transformed in light and shadow.
Greg Waddell, former owner of Cycle Your City Bike Shop, earned a “Bachelor of Music with a focus on Jazz Composition” in 1992 from Berklee College of Music.
