The Piedmont Shakespeare Company presents Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing on the campus of Salem Academy and College. Much Ado About Nothing is a true romantic comedy: witty, sharp and emotionally rich. Soldiers home on leave after a grand victory find a new battlefield, the hearts and minds of two beautiful cousins. A pair of old flames hover over a new courtship, and what starts as a romp deepens when a piece of deception turns potentially dangerous. Piedmont Shakespeare Company’s production will be directed with a contemporary lens while remaining true to Shakespeare’s text.
