Hanes Art Gallery is excited to announce our upcoming exhibition, Timely Conversations, on view February 5th through March 26th. This exhibition brings together contemporary artworks that explore the interconnected themes of history and time, pairing works to spark dialogue around topics such as identity, race, labor, archival erasure, and the environment. Featuring artists including Robert Colescott, Glenn Ligon, Martine Gutierrez, Shahzia Sikander, Suchitra Mattai, and Jay Lynn Gomez, Timely Conversations invites viewers to reconsider the past through the lens of the present.
