Opening with Sibelius’s architectonic Symphony No. 3, this concert culminates in the world premiere of a new work entitled “Inter Alia, North Carolina Trees” for soprano and orchestra by composer David Kirkland-Garner, set to original poetry, “Inter Alia” by Ishion Hutchinson. Students from WFU and UNCSA unite in this powerful celebration of nature, music, and collaboration.
