Experience Winston-Salem's 1Love Festival

Part live music showscase, part cultural seminar, the annual 1Love Festival returns June 25–27, 2026.

1Love Festival

Culture. Creativity. Community.

Those three ideas sit at the heart of 1Love Festival, a one-of-a-kind celebration returning to Winston-Salem June 25–27, 2026.

Now in its sixth year, 1Love blends live music, cultural programming, and community connection into a weekend that feels different from just about anything else on the city’s festival calendar. Rooted in African Diasporic culture, the festival combines nationally recognized artists, thought-provoking daytime workshops, and spaces designed for conversation, reflection, and joy.

You can come for the concert. You can come for the workshops. Or you can build your own version of the weekend somewhere in between.

Here’s a look at what’s planned for 2026.

Live Music at The Ramkat (June 26)

The centerpiece of the festival is Friday's concert at The Ramkat in downtown Winston-Salem. Multiple acts will take the stage spanning gospel, soul, R&B, and funkwith doors opening at 7 p.m.

Among the festival headliners is North Carolina's own Solomon Fox. The songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has built a fast-growing following thanks to viral tracks like "Weird" and "You Don't Cook," earning attention from artists including Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and Queen Latifah, among others. His music blends funk, soul, and modern R&B, and his live show has a reputation for being genuinely electric.

Joshuah Campbell brings a different kind of energy to the show. He co-wrote "Stand Up" with Cynthia Erivo for the 2019 film Harriet—earning Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe, and Critics' Choice nominations in the process—and now serves as director of music and arts at Wake Forest University's School of Divinity. His performances draw on deep roots in Southern Black Gospel and tend to feel more like a spiritual event than a standard concert set.

Rounding out the lineup is Nailah Porter, a Winston-Salem native whose career has taken her across jazz, rock, and hip-hop. She's spent years touring with artists like Beck, Warren G, and Velvet Underground members, and released her debut album on EmArcy/Universal. Her return to a hometown stage adds an especially personal note to the evening.

Concert tickets start at $50 and can be purchased online here.

The Restorying Institute (June 25–27)

In addition to the concert, the festival includes the Restorying Institute, a multi-day seminar series at The Enterprise Conference & Event Center.

Presented in partnership with the Sacred Memory Project and WFU's School of Divinity, the institute is a more intimate side of the festival—centered on dialogue, creativity, and connection.

This year's theme, "Weaving New Worlds," explores ideas around healing, storytelling, shared resources, and community care. Through guided conversations, collaborative workshops, and hands-on sessions, participants are invited to rethink ideas of scarcity and power while exploring new approaches to leadership, creativity, and collective care.

The institute is free to attend, though advance registration is encouraged. The full workshop schedule and details are viewable here.

At its core, 1Love Festival is about connection through music, conversation, culture, and shared experience. It’s a weekend designed to celebrate Black creativity and community while welcoming anyone interested in meaningful experiences, powerful performances, and thoughtful dialogue.

“Six years in, we're proving that when community, culture, and commerce move in harmony, everybody wins—from neighborhood vendors to international artists,” says event co-producer Darrick Young. "It's really a love letter to culture and the city as a whole."
