February might bring a chill in the air, but Winston-Salem’s events calendar is heating up. From the roar of NASCAR’s Clash and ACC basketball showdowns to Valentine’s nights out, live music, and creative experiences, the month delivers plenty of reasons to get out and explore.
Below is a look at nearly three dozen can’t-miss events happening around the city this month, listed chronologically. Jump straight to ongoing, month-long events here.

Feb. 1 — Cars + Coffee
Kick off race day at this free, family-friendly meetup for car enthusiasts, NASCAR fans, and the community. Sponsored by NASCAR, the event features classic and custom vehicles, NASCAR showcars, food trucks, music, and more. Takes place downtown at the corner of Fifth and Main streets. Feb. 1 — NASCAR Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium
It’s a race weekend in Winston-Salem as the Clash returns to open the 2026 NASCAR season. Sunday's main event kicks off the NASCAR season and will air live on FOX. Ticket-holding fans can also add the Clash Track Fan Walk, offering pre-race access, photo opps, driver meet-and-greets, and live music. The racing action begins Saturday (Jan. 31) with the Madhouse Classic races featuring top Bowman Gray drivers and special guests, followed by NASCAR practice and qualifying. Feb. 6–8, 12–15 — Little Theatre presents Clyde’s
The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem presents this heartfelt story about a group of former inmates working at a sandwich shop as they search for purpose and connection while rebuilding their lives. Performances are held at Hanesbrands Theatre at 7:30 p.m. (Thu–Sat) and 2 p.m. (Sun). Tickets range from $14–$27.
Feb. 7 — UNCSA Concert: New Sounds, New Voices
This annual concert features UNCSA’s nu Ensemble performing works by living composers that push the boundaries of contemporary classical music. The program includes a featured piece by emerging composer Aarush Bothra pairing percussion with synchronized video for a cinematic effect. Held at Watson Hall on the UNCSA campus. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students.
Feb. 7 — Wise Man IPA Feast
Noon–11 p.m. Downtown’s Wise Man Brewing hosts this inaugural, all-day celebration of hop-forward beers. Enjoy new IPA releases, live music, food trucks, and more. Admission is free.
Feb. 7 — Black Panther Screening at Wake Forest
2–4 p.m. Wake Forest’s Wake the Arts initiative presents a free screening of the 2018 Marvel Studios blockbuster starring Chadwick Boseman. Held at Brendle Recital Hall on the WFU campus.
Feb. 8 — Camel City Artisan Market at Foothills
1–6 p.m. This monthly themed market at Foothills Tasting Room showcases handmade gifts, art, décor, and more from local artisans. February’s edition features a love-inspired theme. Admission is free.
Feb. 12 — Parker McCollum at Joel Coliseum
7:30 p.m. Multi-platinum country artist Parker McCollum headlines a concert at Joel Coliseum, joined by rising stars Jake Worthington and Tyler Halverson. Tickets start at $40.
Feb. 13 — Ukulele Star Feng E at Muddy Creek
7 p.m. Old Salem’s Muddy Creek Cafe presents teen ukulele sensation Feng E, a Taiwanese virtuoso known for viral performances and dynamic stage presence. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door; seating is first come, first served.
Feb. 13 — Family Valentine’s Dinner & Dance at Kaleideum
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the whole family during this playful evening of dinner, museum exploration, hands-on activities, games, crafts, and a high-energy dance party led by DJ Hek Yeh.
Feb. 13–22 — Theatre Alliance: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance presents this Tony Award-winning musical comedy set in Ancient Rome, packed with mistaken identities and nonstop laughs. Performances take place at the Theatre Alliance stage (650 W. Sixth St.) at 7:30 p.m. (Fri–Sat) and 2 p.m. (Sun). Tickets are $25 for adults and $23 for students and seniors.
Feb. 14 — Mardi Gras at Wise Man Brewing
Noon–11 p.m. Celebrate Mardi Gras with a Valentine’s twist at Wise Man Brewing. Enjoy king cake, drink specials, beads, food trucks, and live music from eight-piece party band Ears to the Ground from 6–10 p.m. Admission is free.
Feb. 14–15 — Bookmarks Used Book Sale
8 a.m.–4 p.m. Bookmarks’ annual used book sale returns with thousands of gently used books across all genres. This year’s sale takes place at Coffee Park (1206 Reynolda Road). Admission is free; Friday night features a ticketed preview event.
Feb. 14 — Valentine’s at Körner’s Folly
10 a.m.–4 p.m. Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Kernersville’s whimsical Körner’s Folly with self-guided tours, themed activities, romantic music, special displays, and hands-on crafts. Admission is $14 for adults, $7 for ages 6–18, and free for children under 6.
Feb. 14 — WS Symphony: “Be Mine: A Valentine’s Playlist”
5–6 p.m. The Winston-Salem Symphony presents a Valentine’s-themed concert of classical and show tune favorites featuring vocalist Jodi Burns. Held at Reynolds Auditorium. Tickets start at $10.
Feb. 14 — Kaleideum After Dark: PAL-entines Day (21+)
Kaleideum’s monthly adults-only night celebrates connection with live music, party games, horoscopes, paper-flower making, an immersive Digital Dome light show, and more. Tickets include two drink tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
Feb. 15 — Candlelight Valentine’s Concert
6:30–7:30 p.m. The Listeso String Quartet performs romantic classics and contemporary favorites amid the glow of candlelight in the Millennium Center ballroom. Tickets start at $27.50.
Feb. 19–22, 26–28 — UNCSA presents Cyrano de Bergerac
UNCSA’s School of Drama presents a bold, modern remix of Edmond Rostand’s classic, blending romance with rap and contemporary themes. Performances are at 7:30 p.m., except for the Sunday, Feb. 22 matinee at 2 p.m.
Feb. 20 — Taste of NC Wine
6–8 p.m. Hosted by the North Carolina Winegrowers Association, this festival at the Benton Convention Center features wines from more than two dozen vineyards paired with dishes from top local chefs. Tickets are $75.
Feb. 21–22 — Winston-Salem Home Show
Saturday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Held at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds, this home improvement showcase features product demos, design inspiration, expert advice, and show-only offers. Admission is $10; free passes are available online.
Feb. 21–22 — Körner’s Folly: History of Perfume Tour
Experience this immersive sensory tour in partnership with Poesie Perfume and Tea, exploring fragrance history and Victorian scent traditions throughout all 22 rooms of the house museum. Included with regular admission.
Feb. 21–Mar. 8 — NC Black Rep presents The Legend of Buster Neal
This powerful original drama by Jackie Alexander follows four generations of African American men navigating legacy, friendship, and fatherhood. Performed at Hanesbrands Theatre. Most shows at 7:30 p.m.; weekend matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $30–$35.
Feb. 22 — Bright Futures Fest at Kaleideum
11 a.m.–3 p.m. Kaleideum’s inaugural festival features hands-on engineering activities, interactive demos, and early-learning experiences designed to spark curiosity through play. Admission is $3; free for members.
Feb. 26 — Face to Face with Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster
7:30 p.m. Wake Forest University’s speaker series welcomes the former National Security Advisor and bestselling author for a conversation at Wait Chapel on the WFU campus. Tickets start at $63.
Feb. 26–Mar. 1 — UNCSA Winter Dance Concert
UNCSA dancers from the contemporary and ballet programs take the stage in this dynamic showcase at Freedman Theatre on the UNCSA campus. Six performances total, including two matinees. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students.
Feb. 27 — UNCSA presents Then and Now: A Film Phantasma
7–9 p.m. UNCSA’s School of Filmmaking presents its spring Panorama screening, featuring films by accomplished alumni and current students. Held at the ACE Theatre on the UNCSA campus. Admission is free.
Feb. 27 — Cody Johnson at Joel Coliseum
7:30 p.m. Multi-platinum country star Cody Johnson brings his high-energy live show to Winston-Salem, with Carter Faith opening. Remaining tickets start at $78.
Feb. 27–28 — Twin City Thunderbirds Hockey
Fri at 7:35 p.m.; Sat at 6:05 p.m. The Thunderbirds host back-to-back home games against the Watertown Wolves at the Fairgrounds Arena. Tickets start at $20.
Throughout the Month
Taste of Art at Sawtooth
These ne-night classes invite participants to spend an evening creating a take-home work of art in mediums such as ceramics, jewelry, fibers, and more. Led by local artists, classes are held Friday evenings at Sawtooth School, with additional weekday sessions at the Generations Center studio (114 W. 30th Street). Classes start at $45. February highlights include The Swayze Experience (Feb. 13), a Valentine’s-themed pottery wheel class inspired by Ghost.
Cobblestone Winter Farmers Market (Saturdays)
9 a.m.–noon. Shop local produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and more each Saturday at the Cobblestone Market (1007 Marshall Street SW).
Ice Skating at the Fairgrounds
Public skating sessions are offered throughout February at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Arena. Admission is $10; skate rentals are $3. Times vary by date.
Wake Forest Basketball
ACC play continues at the Joel Coliseum with home games against Louisville (Feb. 7), Stanford (Feb. 14), Clemson (Feb. 18), and Syracuse (Feb. 28).
WSSU Basketball
CIAA action continues at C.E. Gaines Arena with home games against Fayetteville State (Feb. 7), Claflin (Feb. 12), and Shaw (Feb. 14).
YOGA at Foothills Tasting Room (Saturdays)
11 a.m. All-levels yoga followed by a pint or non-alcoholic beverage. $12; no pre-registration required.
Concerts at The Ramkat
