Tell us about your background!
Born and raised in Burlington, NC—home of Biscuitville (not the Coat Factory…iykyk)—I started college at Winston-Salem State University, dabbling in Mass Communications and Political Science before realizing my true calling was in food, beverage, and all things hospitality. That passion led me to Johnson & Wales University’s culinary-focused Norfolk VA campus, where I earned both my associate and bachelor’s degrees that have taken me from hotels to contract food service and everywhere in between.
While my diplomas didn’t come from WSSU, my heart is forever in the Ramily—and my Ram Pride runs deep. And who knows, that WSSU MBA might just be in my future… #chewtobaccospit
What makes working with the Visit Winston-Salem team a unique experience for faith-based meeting planners?
In Winston-Salem, faith isn’t just part of our history — it’s the foundation we were built on. That spirit of welcome still shapes the way we host today. Growing up in the AME Church taught me the heart of faith-based gatherings — the need for spaces that inspire fellowship, honor tradition, and make every attendee feel at home.
From worship-friendly venues to connections with our city’s Moravian heritage and vibrant congregations, we bring both respect for your mission and insider knowledge of Winston-Salem, so your event feels as meaningful as it is memorable.
