Harmon Park is Kernersville’s oldest and most storied public park, deeply woven into the town’s history and community spirit. Nearly every Kernersville native has a childhood memory tied to this beloved space — a testament to its lasting significance over generations.


The park is named after D.W. Harmon, who served as Town Clerk in the 1920s. Upon his passing, Harmon generously bequeathed a portion of his land to the Town of Kernersville, establishing what would become its very first public park.


Today, Harmon Park remains a cherished landmark — a place where memories are made, history is honored, and the community continues to gather.
